The Queen
I used to have a lot of drive.
I wonder where it's all gone now.
It's convenient to blame my parents,
my family,
mu surroundings
for the constant rejections
the never ending 'no's
But wasn't it my choice to put down the sword?
Wasn't it my choice to give up this battle?
"Some battles are worth fighting than others,
so pick your battles right"
What happens when you're constantly choosing not to fight,
thinking you'd save your energy for a bigger battle,
that every battle just becomes less important
And now you think everything's not worth it?
I wonder where it's all gone now.
It's convenient to blame my parents,
my family,
mu surroundings
for the constant rejections
the never ending 'no's
But wasn't it my choice to put down the sword?
Wasn't it my choice to give up this battle?
"Some battles are worth fighting than others,
so pick your battles right"
What happens when you're constantly choosing not to fight,
thinking you'd save your energy for a bigger battle,
that every battle just becomes less important
And now you think everything's not worth it?
What do you do then?
